Connecting Communities across the Pewsey Community Area
Green Vale Project

The Green Vale project will help local communities tackle flooding, nature loss and home energy costs across Pewsey Vale.

Pewsey Community Area Partnership (PCAP) has received two years funding from the National Lottery for the Green Vale project. This will support 26 communities across the Vale of Pewsey to respond to three local problems caused by climate change:
-
Flooding & poor water quality
-
Nature loss and farming pressures
-
Home energy costs & community emissions
Working with community champions, residents, voluntary organisations, schools, churches, parish councils and businesses to tackle climate change, the Green Vale project will share practical ideas, knowledge and lessons learned, to enable local communities to build climate resilience and support nature recovery
Our survey found that local communities would like Green Vale to:
-
Support contact with experts and local groups,
-
Share lessons learned from relevant projects,
-
Organise visits for example to green homes, wildlife hotspots and water quality improvement projects
-
Support community-based projects across Pewsey Vale.
