Connecting Communities across the Pewsey Community Area
Grafton Trees for the Parish
Grafton Trees for the Parish is a voluntary group which raises funding for more mature trees to replace the ash trees that have had to be removed due to ash die-back to lessen the impact on the landscape.
The group also organises the planting and maintenance of the new trees, all of which are native to the UK.
Grafton Trees for the Parish has planted 16 mature trees in Wexcombe (2024) to replace some of the ash trees that had to be removed due to ash die-back. This is in addition to the trees already planted in Wilton and Grafton since 2022. We have also planted a community nuts and berries orchard with small whip trees in Wexcombe. Our sincere thanks go to all our fundraisers and generous donors, as well as Wessex Water Foundation Environment Fund and The Woodland Trust.
Funding is achieved through donations, fundraising events and grants.
